The fact is that a white or Asian person is in more danger of being the victim of a crime while walking alone through an African American inner city neighborhood than the other way around.

You can call this racist thinking if you want but all the rage that this post will likely cause doesn’t change that fact. In fact more African Americans themselves are likely to be the victims of crimes in inner city African American neighborhoods.

And for all your pontificating, you have never once started who it is that would be creating these rules by which we all would live. Exactly who are you going to get tell those "darkies" to stay in their place? Is it going to be all those white scientists that you have sited with their unscientific data? Do we elect a panel of people to enslave our society to discrimination? And how would you handle someone such as Neil deGrasse Tyson, who is clearly smarter than even you or I, are you going to relegate him to digging ditches?

You spout all of your "lofty ideas" but when it comes time to implement them, you can't quite tell us who will make these decisions. It's probably because even you realize that discrimination is wrong, but you work hard to suppress that thought!

 

Decisions for university admissions should be made by the Dean of Admissions and his subordinates on the basis of objective criteria of merit, without regard to race. Hiring decisions should be made in a similar manner, with the additional consideration that a boss should be able to hire those he will enjoy working with and those who will enjoy working with each other.

Diversity is only valuable when it is voluntary and based on merit. I enjoy dining at ethnic restaurants, shopping at ethnic stores, and attending ethnic festivals. I see no value in requiring those who do not enjoy those things to participate in them. I suspect that leading corporations like Microsoft hire many people born in other countries who do not speak English as a second language. Nevertheless, on the matter of professional competence there is no diversity. Leading corporations hire the best people they can find.

I am against affirmative action. I see no value in lowering standards for politically favored races in order to achieve a student body or workforce that "looks like America." I oppose discriminating against people because of their race. I favor discriminating against people because of what correlates with race, such as low intelligence, and criminal records.

 

Sorry, but that is just as racist as what you are railing against. There are many white people that defy what you racistly put forth. Einstein did all his own work...

Unfortunately decisions based on merit in hiring and university admissions will always be viewed as discriminatory if any group is either over represented or underrepresented. We are working off of an assumption that all people are equally gifted so disproportion is prima facie evidence of discrimination.

 

Unfortunately, what you say is true. Nevertheless, it is obvious that everyone is not equally gifted, and that people in some races tend to be more intelligent than people in others. That is even more obvious since the failure of No Child Left Behind, but it is dangerous to draw attention to the failure of NCLB.

 

Every age has its dogmas and now even questioning disproportion coming from any source but discrimination is now politically dangerous.

 

Since the civil rights legislation was passed into law and since the War on Poverty began expensive programs designed to reduce black poverty, black rates of crime and illegitimacy have risen significantly. Black academic performance and performance on mental aptitude tests has improved little if at all, despite expensive programs like Head Start and No Child Left Behind.

I am puzzled that it is still dangerous to question the dogma of innate racial equality, despite the fact that all the relevant evidence demonstrates otherwise.

There is ample scientific evidence that race is nothing but a social concept.

 

I’ve noticed that Black people tend to have darker skin than white people but some say that is merely anecdotal. I will leave that academic hot potato to the physical and cultural anthropologists to sort out.

The ample scientific evidence that race is a valid biological classification of human beings consists of DNA tests that determine a person's race, or mixture of races.

 

So, we're gonna go round this bush yet one more time.

As noted many times before, not one of your sources have a universal definition of "race", as in what makes a black a black. And even if they did, the process of classifying an individual by race for your cited authorities is done one of two ways;
1) The individual self identifies, as in Elizabeth "Pocahontas" Warren when claiming she is native American Indian. And, it turns out, she is just about everything but native American Indian.
2) The arresting officer, the justice system, or the penal system, characterizes one's race based on physical appearance. And as you very well know, physical appearance is not reliable. Since you've failed the "what race am I" test at least twice, you know how right Shooter is on this point.

So the bottom line is, we have NO reliable evidence that there is any meaningful difference of behavior or intelligence based on physical appearance or family heritage. And please don't bring up the warrior gene to support your bigotry, we've debunked that study and claim enough, no need to embarrass yourself further with it.

Now, there is ample scientific evidence to support the reality that race is a social concept.
