O líder supremo do Irã, Ali Khamenei, afirmou que o ataque contra Israel foi “o menor dos castigos à agressão israelense”, comentário que fez com um fuzil na mão durante uma oração coletiva em memória do líder assassinado do grupo xiita libanês Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, realizada nesta sexta-feira, 4.
“O que as nossas forças militares fizeram foi o menor dos castigos para a agressão do regime israelense”, disse a mais alta autoridade política e religiosa do Irã na mesquita Imã Khomeini, em Teerã, onde estavam reunidos milhares de fiéis na tradicional oração realizada às sexta-feiras.
“A ação brilhante das nossas forças armadas há algumas noites foi completamente legal e legítima”, acrescentou Khamenei, referindo-se ao lançamento de 200 mísseis contra Israel na noite de terça-feira.
“Cada golpe contra o regime sionista é um serviço a toda a humanidade”, ressaltou o clérigo em um discurso proferido parcialmente em árabe para “alcançar todo o mundo islâmico”.
Khamenei assegurou também que, “se necessário, atacaremos novamente o regime sionista no futuro”, embora tenha esclarecido que “não hesitaremos nem nos precipitaremos. Faremos o que for sensato”.
O religioso frisou que “toda nação tem o direito de defender seu país e território contra o agressor”, em uma referência aos assassinatos de Nasrallah e de um general iraniano nos ataques israelenses em Beirute, há uma semana, e do líder político do Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh, em julho, em Teerã.
“O Hezbollah e o seu heróico e martirizado líder são a essência das virtudes e da identidade históricas do Líbano”, destacou o líder iraniano sobre o grupo libanês que é um dos principais aliados de Teerã na região.
Apelo por unidade islâmica
Khamenei também fez um apelo ao mundo muçulmano para se unir contra o inimigo, “cuja política é dividir para conquistar”.
“A política do Corão é que as nações muçulmanas devem estar unidas”, declarou, ao mesmo tempo em que enfatizou que o “inimigo do Irã é o inimigo da Palestina, do Líbano, do Iraque, do Egito, da Síria e do Iêmen”.
Além disso, culpou os Estados Unidos pelas tensões no Oriente Médio.
“Os Estados Unidos buscam o controle dos recursos da região através do regime israelense”, assegurou.
Após o discurso, Khamenei realizou sua primeira oração coletiva de sexta-feira desde 2020, quando o fez após a morte de Qasem Soleimani, ex-general da Força Quds da Guarda Revolucionária iraniana, assassinado pelos EUA no Iraque.
