A 20-year-old man from Delhi’s Dakshinpuri area attempted to impress his girlfriend by posting pictures of himself with weapons on Instagram. The man has been identified as Harsh.

However, his plan backfired when the photos caught the attention of the South District Police’s AATS (Anti-Auto Theft Squad).

      Harsh’s photos depicted him brandishing illegal firearms, raising concerns about his intentions and potential threat to public safety. Recognizing the severity of the situation, Inspector Umesh Yadav assembled a team to locate Harsh.

      Acting on a tip-off, the AATS apprehended Harsh and a minor accomplice in Ambedkar Nagar. The duo were found to be in possession of two country-made pistols and two live cartridges. Subsequently, an FIR was registered against Harsh under Sections 25, 54, and 59 of the Arms Act. Legal action is also being pursued against the minor involved.
